K. O. Padvi, the Educationalist in the Tribal Community.
Mr. K. O. Padvi needs no introduction in Dhadgaon and his Tribal Community. He is one of the most devoted teachers who helped the Adivasi community to gain knowledge and dignity. He was a good teacher and had great knowledge about almost every subject. When I was firstly introduced to him, I found him very simple and good looking person. But when I worked under him I started to get acquainted with his dynamic personality. As a diamond has many sides and all of them glitter, many parts of his personality also glitter bright.
He was a good teacher, better Head Master and the best Administrator. He is one of the students who rose from the below poverty and overcame every difficulty. He is a man with rational and radical thoughts. He educated his wife and children. His wife was a teacher in ZP Primary School and now retired. He himself was a teacher, Head Master of one of the famous schools of Adivasi Satpuda Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Dhadgaon. He worked in Late S. V. Thakar Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Dhadgaon as a teacher and Head Master.
He was one of the students who were brought by Mr. Janardan Poharya Valvi, Ex-MLA and the President of Adivasi Satpuda Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Dhadgaon. Mr. K. O. Padvi has two sons and three daughters. All of them are well-educated and well-known like their father. His elder daughter, Prof. Miss Alka Padvi is now Assistant Principal of Jr. College in Dhadgaon. His second daughter, Miss Uma Padvi is a teacher in the same school and the youngest one, we all call her Mai is a Doctor. Mr. Pintu is in security services in Mumbai and Mr.Gotu is also highly educated but now he is looking after his father and his business. Mr. K. O. Padvi is the son of the soil. His parents were uneducated farmers but Mr. Padvi educated all of his children and the children of his own community.
Nowadays he is Administrator of our Non Profit Educational Organisation, Adivasi Satpuda Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Dhadgaon and also the President of Shri.
