Gandhi : Jesus Christ

As Churchill Called, "Half-naked Fakir", Mahatma Gandhi lived very simple life but high thinking. 2nd October is very auspicious day for us i.e. Indians. It is the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Nation. It is a thing of proud for every Indian who loves Mahatma Gandhi that his birthday will be celebrated and called as " Ahimsa Day" i.e. Day of Non-violence.
Mahatma Gandhi was of the opinions that if someone slaps you, present him your another. Never be like tit for tat. Mahatma Gandhi condemned not only the physical lapse but also thinking lapse. During his evening prayer he would humbly confess for the mistakes he might have done during the day. His weapon was Truth and Ahimsa. He tested himself for so many times. During the British rule there was a tax on making Salt in India. The Mahatma wanted to know the reason behind it. He asked his wife not to add salt in his food. After some day he began to feel weak and not well. Then he decided to break the rule of making salt. He, with thousands of people made salt at Dandi in Gujrat State of India. The famous event is called “Dandi Yatra” or “Meethacha Sattyagraha” i.e. insistence of Truth for Salt.
He had so many friends and enemies too. But he loved his enemies more than his friends. He was like ‘Jesus Christ’. He also had forgiven his own murderer, Nathuram Godase. Nathuram fired two gun-shots and arrested himself. Mahatma asked his party members that he had forgiven Nathuram, so he should not be punished. But the court had the judgment of hanging against Nathuram. When Mahatma was being shot by him, Mahatma did not cry or wail. He just muttered the name of God, “Hey Ram!”So this is the victory of the Gandhi Thoughts and Gadhian People throughout the world. I myself and Mr. Janardan Poharya Valvi, who had lived on the simple and straightforward priciples of Mahatma Gandhi, would like to congratulate the Members of UN and the people all over the world who still believe in ‘Gandhigiri’ i.e. Gandhian Thoughts.
