Malnutrition: a big problem in Adivasis of Satpuda


कुपोषण : After reading the High court's direction to Maharastra Government on the deaths of Kolam tribals due to starvation and Malnutrition, I, myself have decided to inform all the concerned people that the problem of starvation and malnutrition is still in the various parts of Satpuda Ranges in Maharashtra, Nandurbar District.
Poor Adiwasis never eat full. The children are also compelled to be starved due to the miserable economical condition of adivasis(Tribals). Some of the poor families leave their houses and villages and migrate in search of work. Some of the migrate in the neighbouring state, Gujrat for work. They are exploited there in the daily wage of monthly wage system. Some of them go in the neighbouring Tehsils like Shahada, Taloda and Akkalkuwa. There they get the work in the farms. But the elder ones who remain at home in Satpuda always face starvation due to the lack of food and caretaker. Persons like Kishor Tiwari, the president of Vidarbha Jan Andolan should support these people.

Yes this is the fact, I am agree with this. I am myself working for the development of Adivasi community from my early years. I rejected politics and accepted social service for the betterment of the people of Adivasi Community.

Birsa Munda

Birsa Munda is one of the freedom fighters from Tribal Adivasi Community of India. He is a National Hero worshipped by tribal community. A few years ago I did not know even the name of this Hero. Digambarrao Padvi , a Tribal Leader: Hon. Digambarrao Narashi Padvi was born on 27 th December 1924 at Nalgavan in Akkalkuwa Tehsil in an adivasi family.
